My wife and I have always enjoyed taking pictures. From the day we met 10 years ago we enjoyed capturing the memories and essence of what was going on in that exact moment. Money was a limiting factor so we started our journey with a little Canon point and shoot and worked our way up. I guess it has never been out what we capture with but rather what we are capturing. I believe photos can convey an emotional state that all other forms of media fail to express.
Out equipment is by no means top notch at this point, I have a Nikon D40 and she now owns a Sony A330 but they are fun to play with and to learn the ins and outs with. My wife Dana and I agreed to write this blog as more of a collection of experiences with the cameras, it stands to reason that this may read as more of a list of frustrations with the shots coming out more wrong then right.
We hope that anyone who reads this will see it for what it is namely our experiences with the camera and how we learned to do what we are learning to do (I think that makes sense…). I hope you read with enthusiasm and we welcome the comments. Pictures will be hosted through Bluemelon with any donations going toward the local boys and girls club.
Take Care!
Jimmy and Dana
